It is time to form your teams! The upcoming Trivia Night from Global Issues Network will be here soon.
This year is the 3rd year of Trivia Night, which is a tournament about facts, relating to the arts, history, and science. You name it, they got it. The game consists of five different rounds, dinner round, visual round (visual images), audio round (audio/recordings), lightning round (physical interaction among your team members) and the final round (tie breakers). GIN coordinator So Eun Lee said, “Teachers have an advantage over some questions and students have an advantage over some others.”
Each round consists of a variety of questions based on a specific topic that requires your creative thinking and ability to make educated guesses. The team who scores the most points wins and gets a prize! GIN coordinator Sabrina Chen said, “This event is often very popular in the student body as it provides them with an opportunity to not only bond with their teachers, but also to show them what they know.”
All proceeds from Trivia Night will go to GIN’s ‘Bridging Hearts Through Education’ program to sponsor underprivileged girls in Shaoguan to help them complete their education. “Most importantly, just by you having fun, underprivileged girls in Shaoguan will be able to continue their education. Your participation will help girls receive the education that they deserve, which will help break the cycle of poverty and not only help themselves, but also the community,” So Eun Lee mentioned.
The official sign up sheet is sent by GIN with a link via email. You can sign up individually or as a group.
