Abs 101: Advice from Ibrahim Bah

• Bookmarks: 251277

If you came to the talent show, you would have seen Ibrahim Bah’s rock-hard abs when he took off his shirt at the end of the senior dance. Summer is three months away, so it is time to start watching our diets and get some exercise in! Ibrahim has a ton of advice for our fellow AISG Rams who aspire to be lean and fit by the time summer break rolls along. Bah is very dedicated to his workout routine, follows a strict diet, and enjoys a lot of outdoor activities (that is how he has managed to obtain an eight-pack).

As a close friend of Ibrahim Bah, he inspires and motivates me to be active and healthy. He says, “I do a lot of core-exercises such as sit-ups as well as cardio workouts such as running around the school. I workout at least every other day, they can last for either five minutes or sometimes up to four hours if I have enough time. I think the best mindset is to just try and fit time to be active no matter how hectic your schedule gets. It’s good to get the blood pumping and relieving stress from school.” Currently, he’s doing a no junk-food challenge with senior Phoebe Guan: “We don’t eat fried foods or sugary products in order to stay healthy and maintain a healthy weight.” When asked what he eats in a day on a regular basis, he says, “I eat waffles for breakfast and for lunch I like to incorporate a lot of carbs in order to give me energy such as rice or noodles. For dinner, I love having home-made roasted chicken and salad.”

Besides daily cardio, Bah is also a member of APAC sports such as cross-country and soccer in which he is considered a ‘top player’, as well as participating in CrossFit events during the weekends. The effort that Ibrahim puts into maintaining an active lifestyle is impressive, and should motivate you to get off your couch and get moving!
