Back To Where It All Began

Everyone knows the story of Alice Liddel falling down the Rabbit Hole and traveling to that odd, yet very interesting, world of Wonderland. From being captured by the Red Queen to fighting a dragon-like creature known as the Jabberwock, the blonde girl did it all. But do you know of her trip back into the magical world? Tim Burton, who produced the previous Alice movie, is back at it again in the second installment of our blonde heroin and her oddball group of friends. This time though, Alice has to travel back to Wonderland and save the Mad Hatter from danger all while playing against Time, a character not seen or even mentioned in the first movie. Going through the looking glass and backwards in the time line of Wonderland, Alice has to watch the ticking hands of the clock before the Mad Hatter’s time, and possibly her own, is up.

Personally, as someone who loves[is obsessed with] Wonderland as much as I am I have a mixed bunch of feelings towards the movie. Nobody has ever done a movie based on Through the Looking Glass so in that sense it’s a good idea to go through with the idea for a movie like this. However, for me as both a reader and viewer of Wonderland and Alice it’s going to be either very good or very bad depending on how accurate the story stays to the book and yes Through the Looking Glass is indeed a book. With a cast of Johnny Depp(The Mad Hatter), Helena Bonham Carter(Red Queen), Mia Wasikowski(Alice), Anne Hathaway(White Queen) and Alan Rickman(Caterpillar) this movie is still going to hold a place in peoples’ childhoods. With a release date of  May 27  the day is fastly approaching.
