Cosplaying, nerd stores and comic books galore. For those of you who don’t know what I’m referring to, I’m talking about the San Diego Comic Con. This three to four day even takes place once a year in the sunny city of San Diego, California, and can be most easily found by the inevitable line of people dressed up in costumes and outfits from popular games, comics and movies. The event is one of the largest conventions of this kind and takes place once a year, to many people’s dismay. With plenty of celebrities attending each year they can range from a TV show that used to air a few years ago to the main cast members of movies like The Force Awakens and Pitch Perfect 2. Even Tom Hiddleston went to Comic Con in his full Loki attire and proceeded to answer questions and do impressions both as Loki and his fellow cast members back in 2013 for an appearance on the Marvel Cinematic Universe panel.

But Comic Con isn’t all about the panels and the celebrities, in fact sometimes there aren’t any interesting celebs there for a person to really meet (that and photographs are ungodly expensive sometimes). Speaking from experience when I went to Comic Con in St.Louis, Missouri, I actually found the stands and people more interesting and entertaining than waiting in line and getting on photo with a celebrity. The whole thing about Con is that everyone there takes pride in everyone else’s cosplay, if you dress up that is, and you can get pictures with most anyone if you just walk up and ask. I saw these two guys in the parking garage I was in who dressed up as Thor and Tony Stark and when I saw them again on the floor I took a picture with them, and yes I dressed up like Harley Quinn my first year cosplaying don’t hate.

Apart from that the whole atmosphere of Comic Con is really just fun and memorable. You get a chance to meet all kinds of cool people and learn about developing artists as well as stories you didn’t know were out in stores.
