To give you guys a look at some of our staff in the Beacon, I selected one person from each grade to get asked a series of questions to get to know a little bit more about them.

Michelle

What grade are you currently in? 9

Where are you from? I have a U.S passport but I’m actually Chinese
Where were you before Guangzhou? Beijing
Beijing VS Guangzhou? I like Beijing more in the winter. I also like it more because there are a lot of things to eat and there a lot of shopping malls.
What do you like to do in your free time? Hanging out with friends, watch your tv show
Any favorite TV shows? My favourite would be The Big Bang Theory.
Who’s your favorite character and why? Sheldon. He’s funny because of how random he is.
Where is your favorite place in Guangzhou? Grandview Mall.
What’s your favorite food? Rice.

In Hwa Mo

What grade are you currently in? 10.
Where are you from? Korea.
Where were you before Guangzhou? Beijing.
What do you like to do in your free time? Watch movies, play video games, or go on my phone.
What kind of games are you into? I’m into competitive video games. These include Starcraft, LoL, and CS Go.
Where is your favourite place in Guangzhou? The Guangzhou Tower.
What’s your favourite food? Seafood in general.

Basile Seigle

                        Basile Seigle, Grade 11

What grade are you currently in? 11.
Where are you from? France.
Where were you before Guangzhou? France, Avignon.
What do you like to do in your free time? Listen to music, go out with friends.
What kind of music? French rap. By Nekfeu.
Why? His lyrics aren’t like stereotypical rap lyrics that talk about money and drugs. His lyrics have a lot of meaning and deliver a good and genuine message.
Where is your favourite place in Guangzhou? Xing Guo Lu, Bosphorus.
What’s your favourite food? I love Japanese food, so probably California rolls.

Meghan Kaiser

                   Meghan Kaiser, Grade 12

What grade are you currently in? I am a senior.
Where are you going for college? University of Central Missouri Warrensburg.
Where are you from? Missouri, O’Fallon.
Where were you before Guangzhou? Missouri.
What do you like to do in your free time? I love playing video games.
Favorite video games? For  PC, it would be Star Wars Old Republic, but for my Xbox, it would be assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
