Before the 2021-22 season, Stephen Curry was closing his distance with Ray Allen, a Hall of Famer and the all-time leader for most three-pointers made.

Stephen Curry was exactly 142 three-pointers away to surpass Ray Allen. Only 25 games into the season, he is now only seven three-pointers away from passing the Hall of Fame sharpshooter.

Entering this season, Curry is on his highest streak; he is averaging a career-high of 5.4 three-pointers per game, which tops his previous records, including the record of 5.1 three-pointers per game in his MVP season.

“I’m so excited to see Stephen Curry break Ray Allen’s all-time record,” commented Oscar L, a sophomore at AISG. “I have been his biggest fan ever since I was young, and I did not know he would be breaking the record so quickly.”

“Ray Allen was my favorite shooter, so it’s a little disheartening to see Stephen Curry soon to smash the record,” commented Myunghan S., a junior at AISG. “I am still happy for him though.”

Curry is expected to make history in the next two games with the current momentum. The next two games are both taking place in historic stadiums: the Indiana Pacers home Arena and the iconic Madison Square Garden of the Knicks.

Stephen Curry is currently one of three active players in the Top 10 with James Harden and Damian Lillard.
