The Arrival of 5G

5G, the most significant infrastructure technology for the 4th industrial revolution, was the biggest issue in this year’s CES 2019 conference.

At the CES 2019 conference, which was held in Las Vegas on the 11th, 5G was the most prominent topic debated amongst tech-experts. One reason 5G was a heated-topic in this conference was because it has already been commercialized in many countries such as China, South Korea and the U.S.

Global ICT industries are also focusing on 5G because of approaching of future. Major communications industries such as Samsung Electronics, and other major foreign companies such as Verizon and AT&T ,continued to promote their 5G technologies and cooperate on cooperation and innovation for the early expansion of 5G.

Samsung Electronics, Intel and Qualcomm promoted their new technology in the CES2019 conference. Samsung is in charge of supplying 5G equipment which is used for commercialization of 5G service in the U.S. and South Korea. Intel demonstrated manufacturers of virtual reality devices and also emphasized the importance of virtual reality technology during the 5G era. Finally, Qualcomm displayed 5G Smartphones that were developed by Chinese Smartphone manufacturers such as Xiaomi, OPPO, and VIVO using Qualcomm chips.
